I began my real estate career in 1981 and have consistently been a top producer throughout the years. I have been recognized as a Distinguished Achiever by the Richmond Board of Realtors and was awarded the Sales and Marketing Executives (SME) International Distinguished Sales Award. I have also completed the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Historic Real Estate Program and have received designation as a relocation specialist with Relocation Resources International, Inc., specializing in corporate transferees. I am a graduate of Dale Carnegie Leadership and Training and an Accredited Buyer´s Representative candidate. I strive to stay abreast of current trends, changes, and technology in the real estate market through additional courses with the Graduate of Real Estate Institute, online training for the e-PRO course for certification as a real estate Internet Professional and courses and seminars through the Richmond Association of Realtors and Joyner Fine Properties.
I have watched the growth of both Richmond and the Real Estate Industry and have the ability to assess the special needs of families transferring either to or within the Richmond Metropolitan Area. I enjoy the marketing process and the challenge in getting my listings under contract, which have included everything from cozy starter homes to high-end properties. Extensive experience in working with corporate clients transferring to the area has enabled me to establish areas of expertise and knowledge of the changing values in the counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, and Powhatan, and of course, the City of Richmond. My areas of greatest expertise include the western areas of Henrico County, Chesterfield County, and the City of Richmond.
My hobbies include painting, gardening, antiques, and travel. I am a member of The Tuckahoe Woman's Club, The Woman's Club, The Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities (APVA-Preservation Virginia), and a sustaining member of The Junior League of Richmond. As a former educator in the science department of Henrico County and the Upper and Middle Schools of St. Catherine's School and with 24 years of real estate experience, I have developed a true love for working with people, and I consider detail, accuracy, honesty, and integrity to be important in all situations.
